Objectives of the Equipment
The equipment should be able to demonstrate:
- Proportional, Integral and Derivative control
- Response and characteristics of the process
- Determining dead time
- Tuning techniques of controllers
Specifications/Provisions (or equivalent)
The unit must be equipped with (or corresponding part):
- Framework: Stainless steel or anodized aluminum with enough thickness to withstand the load of equipment and/or different components of equipment
- Reactor (Capacity of 1 liter)
- pH transmitter with range of 0-14 pH and 4-20 mA output
- Metering pumps with 4-20 mA input
- Tank for acidic solution with capacity of 20 litres
- Tank for basic solution with capacity of 20 litres
- Product collection tank with capacity of 40 liters
- Piping and valves
- PID controller
- Compressor (along with female valve of ¼”) for the requirement of compressed air (minimum 4 Nm3/h @ 6 bar)
- Tap water valve with 1/2” hose connector
- Automated unit along with software for computerized control of the equipment
- Computer
- UPS with enough backup for shutting down the unit/equipment in case of power failure
- List of spares (for 1 year)
