AFM031P Temperature and Flow Rate Control (including PID Controller with Software) Vocational Training Equipment

The equipment should be able to demonstrate the followings:

  • Proportional, Integral and Derivative control
  • Measuring instruments of temperature and flow rate
  • Cascade control of temperature
  • Determining dead time, response and characteristics of process
  • Tuning techniques of controllers

Specifications (or Equivalent)

The unit must be equipped with (or corresponding part):

  • Framework: Stainless steel or anodized aluminum with enough thickness to withstand the load of equipment and/or different components of equipment
  • Tank with capacity of 20 l (Minimum)
  • Reactor equipped with stirrer (Capacity = 15 l)
  • Heat exchanger with exchange surface of 0.3 m2
  • Steam generator (20 kg/h @ 4,5 bar)
  • Steam trap
  • Steam (valve of 1» 2”)
  • Compressor (along with female valve of ¼”) for the requirement of compressed air (Nm3/h @ 6 bar)
  • Tap water valve with 1» 2” hose connector
  • Centrifugal pump (made up of material to withstand corrosion and erosion associated problems)

Maximum flow rate = 2000 l/h,

Maximum head = 10 m

  • Pneumatic valves for controlling the flow rate of water and steam
  • Variable area flow transmitter-indicator with range of 10 to 150 l/h
  • Calibrated diaphragm for measuring steam flow rate
  • Electronic differential-pressure transmitter for measuring the flow rate of steam with 4 to 20 mA output signal
  • Thermometer with range of 0 to 120 °C
  • 2 electro-pneumatic converters
  • PID controller
  • Piping and valves
  • Safety devices, valves or pushbutton
  • Automated unit along with software for computerized control of the equipment
