AFBS3531.1 FREE AND FORCED VIBRATION SYSTEM

Free and Forced Vibration Apparatus for extending the range of demonstrations and experiments which may be carried out to include the free and forced vibrations of a single degree of freedom with viscous damping.

The system should contain all the necessary parts to undertake free and forced vibration, resonance and damping. A beam pivots at one end from a bracket and bearing attached to the Vibration Frame. spring should be attached to the free end of the beam to enable the beam to vibrate

The horizontal position of the spring can be adjusted using the integral adjustment

Damping could be introduced into the system by using the set of damping discs, damping tank and damping media.

A damping absorber to be attached on the beam, and could be adjusted to offset the resonance frequency of the system.

A set of calibrated weights should be supplied to vary the weight of the vibrating system. (8 nos of 5N weights)

The excitation frequency and beam displacement should fed into the main interface unit
